Genna is a compassionate, creative and dynamic health professional with a long-standing passion for mental health promotion and advocacy. In her work as a therapist and program director, she supports clients in healing from hardship and building resilience while advocating for systemic improvements in healthcare accessibility and quality through education, innovation, and collaboration.
She has significant clinical experience working with a broad range of individuals across the lifespan who have experienced trauma and mental health challenges, as well as physical, psychosocial, and cognitive impairments due to prolonged or complex illness, motor vehicle collisions and workplace injuries. In her clinical practice, she offers a warm, accepting, and trauma-sensitive approach which integrates evidence-based psychotherapy modalities through an occupational lens.
In her role as Director of Psychotherapy, she develops and oversees clinical processes, provides clinical supervision and mentorship, and collaborates with other team leaders and clinicians. Her experience in the field has enabled her to make meaningful contributions within my clients' rehabilitation journeys through direct intervention, advocacy, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Genna believes that each individual's story matters, and she integrates compassion and acceptance into her person-centred approach to client care. She is dedicated to empowering her clients through education, employing evidence-based methods to address their complex health conditions, and mitigating the widespread healthcare barriers they face. In her spare time, Genna enjoys practicing martial arts and yoga, crocheting 🧶, painting 🖼️, cooking 🥘, and spending time with her family and friends.
